Terms of Use

Mikaspace.net and all text and images/graphics contained therein are the creation and sole property of Marika ‘Meeks’ Purisima unless otherwise specified and are not to be copied, reposted, distributed, displayed, altered or otherwise used for any purpose without explicit written permission. To do so is a violation of copyright law.

That said, I’m not much of a writer, but if you find something quotable that I haven’t already attributed to someone else, go ahead and copy/paste — as long as you’re not using it to pretend that you’re me (and I have no idea why anyone would want to..) I really don’t mind. I would like a link back though, if you’re reposting more than a sentence or two.

I also don’t mind if you download any gallery images for strictly personal use, so you may print them out, rip them to shreds, set them as your desktop background, etc. As long as you’re not reproducing and/or distributing them, have fun! All I ask is that you let people know where you got them if they express any interest.

Hotlinking has been disabled for this website and will not work, but text links to images or pages on this site are more than welcome:)

You may download and post a gallery image in your personal blog or website if, and only if it serves as a link back to Mikaspace.net and is accompanied by an appropriate copyright notice (something to the effect of “Artwork by Marika ‘Meeks’ Purisima. Not to be used or distributed without permission. Please click to see more examples of this artist’s work.”) on or around the image. The image may be scaled down but not otherwise altered for this purpose.

Posting or otherwise distributing altered or derivative works (e.g. a sketch of mine that you have coloured) without authorization is an infringement of copyright. On the other hand, if you do ask for permission, you’re likely to get it! I may even link back to you if I like what you’ve done!

Background images and graphics created specifically for this site are intended exclusively for that purpose and should not be used for any reason, whether personal or commercial.

Commercial use of any work on this site without express written permission is a violation of copyright and is not acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to featuring my artwork on merchandise intended for distribution (whether money is involved or not,) using it to illustrate a piece of poetry or prose, or publishing it in any form (physical or digital.) Again, if you do ask for permission, I will most likely be happy to consider whatever project you have in mind, and work with you to reach an agreement regarding usage rights.
